August 2 through September 27 or October 18 through December 10.
An eight-week program to motivate participants to be more physically active and train to participate in a walk/run race. Suggested local races are: Hermann 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 2nd and Jingle Bell Jam 4 mile Run/Walk on Saturday, December 11, 2010.

The number of Americans with unhealthy lifestyles and behaviors is increasing. Many of your employees likely do not make healthy food choices, do not get enough physical activity, and may be overweight. These lifestyle behaviors are risk factors for many chronic diseases and conditions, including heart and vascular disease, diabetes, high blood pressure and back pain.

Worksite on the Move can help employees adapt healthier lifestyles. Employees meet once a week for eight weeks to train together — working toward a goal of walking or running a 5K race as a group.  By reducing unhealthy behaviors, both employers and employees can realize direct and indirect benefits.
