2009 'Move to Improve' Community Challenge

Participate in a free eight-week challenge to help community members get out, get active and help reduce their risk for heart attack.

When you enroll in the challenge, you’ll get a booklet and a ‘Passport’ to help track how much activity you get each week.  You’ll need to visit eight different historical places in New Ulm that have been chosen as challenge locations.

Over an eight-week period, travel to each location by walking, biking or running.  The goal is to log at least 150 minutes of physical activity each week.  One you have visited all locations, simply answer the trivia questions about each site that’s included in your Passport.  Turn in your answers to get your event T-shirt and if you answer all questions correctly, you’ll be entered in a prize drawing for Chamber Bucks valid at participating businesses throughout the community.

Move to Improve is open to all adults in the community.  Enroll in the challenge when you complete a free heart health screening.  You’ll choose your own start date and receive your challenge materials with all the details.  Then it is up to you to get out and get active!
