Get moving this holiday season!
There is so much to do during the weeks between Thanksgiving and New Year's Eve that it's easy to let exercise take a back seat to the celebrations. But it shouldn't. Exercising is critical for your health, your energy level and your sanity. In fact, one of the best things you can do to make the holidays go smoother and your celebrations happier is to take the time to include exercise.

Scheduling: Make exercise part of your day
Studies show that 30 minutes of exercise a day on most days of the week will help you prevent heart disease and improve your health.
- Make it a point to schedule exercise as you would any other appointment. Don't change your exercise plans for any interruptions that come along.
- Busy after work? Try waking up 30 minutes earlier to exercise in the morning. Studies have shown that people who exercise in the morning exercise more consistently than people who exercise later in the day.
- Do whatever you can to make time in your schedule for 30 minutes of exercise and you will greet the New Year with energy and fitness to spare.
- Track your physical activity every day. Use your tracking calendar as a visual reminder and motivator to be active.
